Today in class and after school we were very productive, especially after school. We mainly memorised lines but also figured out some spacing and some cool ways to use our new prop – batons. It’s a pretty large object and not always easy to transform. In terms of spacing we are using levels by standing on chairs and doing actions and movement with the batons whilst doing poetry (caitlyn’s poem). So we successfully blocked about 3 scenes and I’m looking forwards to what else we can achieve by next lesson.
I’m currently working on the multimedia and it’s looking okay, I made a bit of a creepy vid with peppa the robot and am continuously putting together music and so forth for the ensemble. Caitlyn delivered the sad news that we are probably only able to use the one projector but we’re a very versatile group and will be able to cope with one okay. We also tested the masks Tamara brought that are a bit large and our voices a very muffled, it also gets a bit hot and sweaty in the mask too. So either we don’t use the masks or we get different ones…

NO! are we only allowed one projector?!? that is unfortunate. Do you think it a possibility to have two laptops at the same time ? how about we use a projector attached to the “master” computer (with the audio and ect) and then hook up the LAPTOP SCREEN to another projector?? screen sharing! it may be a bit slow but its worth a shot. I will go talk to amanda and the stage crew and see what they think.

Caitlyn and Ms.Janes were testing it today and they couldn’t make the others play at the same time and the projectors became bulky and an inconvenience to our performance space 😦
